This is the classic Noel Coward comedy about a successful writer who holds a séance with medium Madame Arcati with the intention of debunking psychics. Things don’t go quite as planned. He finds that the ghost of his deceased wife Elvira has been summoned, and only he can see her! So what happens when Elvira won't accept "til death do us part"? And what does his new wife think of this ghostly visitor? As he tries to juggle Elvira and her pranks as well as his annoyed present wife, things just keep getting out of hand.
