As a reminder, contributions of $150 or more entitle your family to free entry into most extracurricular events sponsored by the Acton Boxborough Regional Schools (including varsity football games, upcoming winter hockey and basketball games) as well as two tickets to most school plays and musicals held at the RJ Grey Junior High and the High School for the 2011-2012 year.
ABSAF contributions are used to help pay for extracurricular programs that activity fees, budget constraints and tax revenue do not cover. Some of these programs are activities that many take for granted. ABSAF funds help pay for transportation to academic team events attended by the speech and debate team, academic decathlon team, science team and math team. The funds pay for transportation and equipment for athletic teams, band, chorus, jazz band, and madrigals. To keep the extracurricular program strong and vibrant, financial help is needed. Last spring, the student board presented a check for $93,000 to the Acton Boxborough Regional School Committee . Thank you to all the friends of ABSAF (Acton Boxborough Student Activities Fund) who have donated to the fund and helped support extracurricular activities.
