The Jones Tavern is proud to present a collection of styles from the 18th through early 20th centuries upstairs in the “Dormitory Gallery.” Please come and see what your grandmother’s grandmother and her children would have worn.
Boys and girls are welcome to try on clothing from “Granny’s Trunk” and envision themselves long ago in Acton. Come and bring your camera.
Jones Tavern was built in 1732 as a home for Samuel Jones, Jr and his family. By 1750, it had become a tavern and general store, which is considered the first store in Acton. It was purchased by the Iron Work Farm in Acton in the 1964 and is run as a Historic House Museum.
