UPDATED: One Killed, Four Injured in Four-Vehicle Crash in Littleton
One person was killed and four others injured in a crash on I-495 North in Littleton.

LITTLETON, MA—A four-vehicle crash on I-495 Northbound in Littleton resulted in the death of an unnamed victim Friday afternoon in Littleton.
According to State Police, a tractor-trailer dump truck was involved in crash. An occupant of one of the vehicles was killed, and four other people involved in the crash were transported to area hospitals.
Preliminary investigation revealed that there was a collision between the four vehicles, causing the dump truck and a 2011 Kia to roll over.

The driver of the dump truck, a 38-year-old East Boston man, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Kia and his passenger, both from Cumberland, RI, as well as a driver of a Toyota also involved in the crash were transported to Emerson Hospital for minor injuries.
The driver of a Lexus also involved in the crash was transported to Lowell General Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Rte. 495 at Rte. 2A in Littleton remained closed until 7:16 p.m. Friday evening.

CORRECTION: Earlier versions of this story indicated that there were three vehicles involved in the crash. State Police later corrected themselves, indicating that there were four vehicles involved in the crash.
