Fire at Post Office Square Building in Acton Destroys Shed
A plow truck reported the blaze on Monday evening.

ACTON, MA—Acton firefighters battled a fire in a shed on Post Office Square at approximately 8 p.m. Monday evening.
Initial reports had indicated that the fire occurred in a dumpster outside of National Technical System (NTS) located at 4 Post Office Square, but according to acting fire chief Bob Hart, the fire occurred in a shed just outside of the building.
No one was injured during the blaze, and the business was closed for the day. Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the flames, but the shed was destroyed, according to Hart.

The main NTS building did not receive significant damage, with only minor paint damage to the exterior of the building. A plow truck driving by the scene reported flames coming from the shed.
A one and three quarters inch hand line was used to extinguish the fire, which was connected to a fire hydrant. Investigative teams remained on hand until just before 10 p.m. to determine the cause of the fire, which remains under investigation.
