First Parish Church Welcomes Rev. Dr. Judith Wright
Rev. Dr. Judith E. Wright will lead Sunday services at First Parish Church in Stow while Rev. Tom Rosiello is on sabbatical

This month, First Parish Church of Stow & Acton (FPC) welcomes the Rev. Dr. Judith E. Wright, who will lead its Sunday services while its minister, Rev. Tom Rosiello, is on sabbatical. FPC is located at 353 Great Road, Stow, at the intersection of routes 117 and 62.
Rev. Judith retired last June from First Parish Church Unitarian Universalist in Northborough after 12 years as its settled parish minister. She’s now its minister Emerita, a title granted to honor long and meritorious service to a congregation where the minister has given devoted and competent ministerial leadership.
She has served as a Unitarian Universalist minister in parish ministries in New Jersey, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts, and as a chaplain in the Philadelphia area.
As a Tibetan Buddhist, she regularly attends teachings at Namgyal monastery in Ithaca, New York, as well as the Sakya Institute for Buddhist Studies in Cambridge, MA. A widow of the late Rev. Dr. Rudy Nemser, Rev. Judith raised four children, and now has six grandchildren. She lives in Boylston, MA, where she enjoys long walks, almost each day, with her three-legged dog, Kelsang.
Rev. Wright will lead her first service, “As Lovely as a Tree,” on April 19. In honor of Earth Day, she’ll reflect on the condition of the earth and our relationship to it, looking, in particular, through the lens of the lovely trees that grace our environments. All are welcome to attend.
FPC’s facilities are wheelchair accessible. Child care is provided for children 3 and under and older children are welcome to join religious education classes. For more information, call 978-897-8149 or visit www.fpc-stow-acton.org.
