Free Friday Film in Acton!

Our World Film Series Presents "The Lunchbox"

The Acton-Boxborough Cultural Council is completing the Our World Film Series with a delightful, enormously popular Indian film. “The Lunchbox” will screen on Friday, May 20. Gather at 7:00 pm in Room 204, Acton Town Hall, 472 Main Street. Come and enjoy this charming story.
“The Lunchbox” is a 2013 Indian epistolary romantic film written and directed by Ritesh Batra. A mistaken delivery in Mumbai’s lunchbox delivery system connects a young housewife to an older man in the dusk of his life as they build a fantasy world together through notes in the lunchbox. Can you fall in love with someone you’ve never met?
This PG rated film was screened at International Critics' Week at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival, and later won the Critics Week Viewers Choice Award also known as Grand Rail d'Or.
