The Town of Acton followed the rest of the state in election Republican Gabriel Gomez and Democrat Ed Markey in Tuesday's Special State Primary Election to fill John Kerry's U.S. Senate seat. Voter turnout in Acton was low, with only 19 percent of the town's registered voters casting a vote. Of those who did vote in Acton, 53 percent chose Gomez while 84 percent went with Markey.
