ACTON -- Household Goods Inc. provides essential household furnishings,
free of charge, to people in need at a pace of up to 12 families a day.
The group and its clients depend on a steady supply of incoming
donations throughout the year. While donor visits have
always been lighter in winter months, the weather this year has
especially hurt the group's Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday donation drop-offs.

Many items, particularly mattresses, dressers, blankets, kitchen tables,
lamps and sofas, are beginning to run low. If you have items to donate
or ideas about sources for large volume donations, please visit group's
website, www.householdgoods.org, or drop off your donations Tuesday,
Thursdays, Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon at 530 Main St., Acton.
