Husband of Woman Killed in Acton Crash Arrested

The Central Street crash left one dead and one injured Tuesday morning.

ACTON, MA—The husband of the woman who was killed during Tuesday morning's crash has been arrested on vehicular homicide charges, according to Acton Deputy Police Chief Richard Burrows.

Detectives arrested Deeiyvid Hoepers, 35, at 6:30 p.m. at his home in Lowell, according to Burrows. Hoepers was driving the vehicle when wife Shannon Milhomme-Hoepers was killed.

Hoepers was charged with motor vehicle homicide, operating under the influence of liquor (OUI), a second offense of OUI liquor, the negligent operation of a motor vehicle and a marked lanes violation.

Police said a 2008 white Saturn, driven by Hoepers, was apparently driving down Central Street when it left the road, struck a wall and a telephone pole, then landed in a driveway, crashing into a vehicle parked there.

Milhomme-Hoepers was taken by ambulance to Emerson Hospital in Concord, where she was later pronounced dead. Hoepers was airlifted to Boston Medical Center for serious injuries.

Hoepers was held overnight on $20,000 cash bail and will be arraigned at Concord District Court Tuesday.
