ICYMI: Acton Man Charged with Dealing Heroin After Overdosing, Police Say

An Acton man was charged with dealing heroin after police said they found him overdosing in Merrimack, N.H.

Brendan Agrillo, 29, of Bellantoni Drive, was arrested Tuesday.

According to police, Merrimack NH Fire and Rescue teams and police were sent to Madison Drive for a report of a man overdosing. When they arrived, they allegedly found Agrillo inside the home “showing signs of heroin use,” according to Sgt. Joseph Goodridge of the Merrimack NH Police Department.

“Upon further investigation, Agrillo was found to be in possession of a significant amount of heroin that was individually packaged,” he noted. “Agrillo was transported to the hospital and a warrant was completed for his arrest.”

Agrillo turned himself in to police on Sept. 15, on the warrant. He was processed and held on $10,000 cash bail. Agrillo is due in Merrimack Circuit Court on Sept. 16.

Agrillo, according to online reports, is no stranger to police or drug charges.

In August 2014, he was arrested in Methuen, MA,for operating under the influence of drugs and possession, according to the Lawrence Eagle-Tribune. He was also arrested in Lowell, MA, on a possession charge, according to The Lowell Sun. In October 2006, Agrillo was accused of raping a woman on the campus of Endicott College in Beverly, MA. He pled not guilty to the charge and it was dropped about six months later after the woman decided not to pursue the charge, according to Boston.com.
