Illegal Immigrant Arrested in Boxborough to be Deported for the Fourth Time

Eduardo Alementa Torres was arrested in Boxborough Saturday and will be deported from America once his criminal charges are "fully adjudicated."

, will once again be deported out of the United States of America, according to Chuck Jackson, ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) spokesperson. Originally from Mexico, Torres was encountered by ICE and deported from the U.S. on Dec. 14, 2004. On March 24, 2005, U.S. Customs and Boarder Protection encountered Torres in Arizona and he was deported two days later; only to be encountered in California on March 13, 2006, and deported that day.

On September 24, 2011, Torres was arrested in Boxborough and charged with: Operating Under the Influence of Liquor, 6th offense; operating with a suspended registration; operating an unregistered vehicle; possessing an open container of liquor in a vehicle; operating with a suspended driver’s license; giving a false name to a police officer and operating without an inspection sticker.

“Eduardo Alementa Torres is currently being detained by local authorities on state charges,” said Jackson. “However, ICE has placed a detainer on this individual. Once the criminal charges are fully adjudicated, he will be turned over to ICE and processed for removal.”

Torres was stopped by Boxborough Police Patrolman, Nathan Bowolick, when he noticed Torres had an expired inspection sticker. When he stopped the vehicle, Bowolick noticed a strong odor of alcohol coming from Torres and there was an open bottle of beer on the passenger seat. Torres did not have a driver’s license and gave Bowolick a false name. Torres gave a breathalyzer test with the result being .09%
