Judge Rules 'Under God' to Stay in The Pledge for Acton-Boxborough
Middlesex Superior Court Judge S. Jane Haggerty ruled against the lawsuit over the Pledge of Allegiance in the Acton-Boxborough School District.

On Friday, June 8, Middlesex Superior Court Judge S. Jane Haggerty ruled in favor of the Acton-Boxborough School District that "Under God" does not discriminate against any groups.
An that has chosen to remain anonymous sued the Acton-Boxborough Regional School District, declaring that saying “one nation under God” during the Pledge of Allegiance discriminates against their children.
According to a Boston.com report, Judge Haggerty concluded that the pledge in schools are "clearly designed to inculcate patriotism and to instill a recognition of the blessings conferred by orderly government under the constitutions of the State and nation."
