Ledoux: Citizens' Petition Possible for Special Town Meeting
The town manager alerted the Board of Selectmen during its April 22 meeting.

A citizens' petition calling for a moratorium on new construction in the historic district of West Acton may be brought to Special Town Meeting on June 3.
Many residents are voicing concerns of a proposed developement at the site, Town Manager Steven Ledoux said during at taping of the Board of Selectmen meeting on April 22. The concerns are in relation to land and the recommended zoning changes.
Ledoux has asked town counsel to review the citizens' petition prior to the next board meeting.

June's Special Town Meeting is planned so the town can vote on a proposed pre-k through grade 12 regionalization plan between Acton and Boxborough schools. The Acton-Boxborough school committees support the plan.

In other selectmen news, Janet Adachi was named chairman and Mike Gowman vice chair. Katie Green was named clerk.
