LETTER TO THE EDITOR: I'm Supporting Janet Adachi for Selectman

I urge you to re-elect Janet Adachi to another term as Selectman. I have served with Janet for the past three years and have found her to be thoughtful, creative and detail oriented. She has worked diligently through several controversial and difficult problems in her first term with excellent results.

She is fiscally prudent but has an eye toward social justice, understanding that it is society’s burden to assist those in need of a helping hand. Having served on the Conservation Commission prior to being elected to the Select board, she has always been an advocate for open space and clean water.

Her background as an attorney gives her excellent grounding in dealing with state law and its impact on the town. Finally, she has proven herself worthy of your vote through her tireless efforts, dedication to duty, and the desire to make Acton a better place to live.
