LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Katie Green's Professionalism is What Acton Needs

Resident David Keeler says he's voting Katie Green for selectman.

Acton is once again in election mode for Board of Selectmen and I am supporting Katie Green. I have known Katie for over four years, during which time I have been impressed by her professionalism and ability to interact with the public and which I know she will provide for our town as selectman.

While Katie worked as a staff person in Representative Benson’s office, I had several occasions to contact and work with her on matters of public policy and proposed legislation. Not only was Katie knowledgeable on a variety of topics, she also exhibited a strong ability to follow through. Katie clearly and concisely explained the representative’s views and thoughtfully conveyed my concerns to the representative for her consideration.

Acton is a community in transition, growing and changing on a daily basis. We need the fresh view that Katie brings to discussions; she is the kind of person who thoughtfully listens and gathers information for her decision-making., Katie will bring more to the table because of her working knowledge of the communities surrounding Acton.  A well informed Board of Selectmen is necessary to chart a new course for Acton’s future.
