Acton Woman a Finalist on Season 2 of NESN Next Producer
Brooke Goshtigian has qualified as one of twelve finalists for season 2 of NESN Next Producer with her sports short film
Starting Saturday Feb. 4th, NESN is launching Season 2 of NESN Next Producer, a television series that showcases New England college filmmakers, their vision and their stories. Part Shark Tank, part America's Got Talent, students create short sports films with the hope of winning $20,000 and a job opportunity at NESN. The weekly series will feature two films in each episode, give you back stories about the students and include feedback from Hollywood judges. Three finalists will then be selected to meet with an ad agency and produce a 30-second vignette. The winning vignette will be announced during a Red Sox Game.
Acton resident Brooke Goshtigian has been selected as one of the top 12 films to be featured. Brooke is an Acton-Boxborough graduate from 2014 and is currently finishing her Junior year at Emerson College in Boston, majoring in film and production. Her short film will air on the show's first episode this Saturday at 10:00 pm on NESN right after the Bruins game. Also check out NESNnext.com where viewers can vote for her film as "Fan Favorite" The name of Brooke's film is "Bar None" which tells the story of a Suffolk University student who was paralyzed during a hockey game and who miraculously stood up and walked over 4 years later.
