Man Stabs Parents, Girlfriend With Scissors In Acton: DA
Benjamin DiCristina's father is not expected to survive. DiCristina was released after mental health assessment earlier in the day.

ACTON, MA — A 25-year-old man attacked his parents and girlfriend with a pair of scissors Thursday night, hours after he was released from mental health treatment his parents had sought for him, according to prosecutors.
Benjamin DiCristina was arrested at a Haynes Court home where police found the three victims suffering from stab and slash wounds. His father, 57, isn't expected to survive his injuries. His girlfriend, 28, remains hospitalized with serious injuries. His mother, 56, has been released after being treated for what the Middlesex District Attorney's Office called superficial wounds.
DiCristina was ordered held without bail at his Friday arraignment in Concord District Court. He will undergo a mental health evaluation.

Prosecutors said DiCristina strangled his girlfriend and stabbed her in the chest late Thursday night. He then cut his mother before stabbing his father multiple times in the head and neck.
One of the women was able to call 911 during the attacks.

Police found DiCristina in the shower and arrested him.
Prosecutors said his family had sought mental health treatment for him earlier in the day. He had been assessed and released.
DiCristina was charged with two counts of armed assault with intent to murder, two counts of assault and battery causing serious bodily injury, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, domestic assault and battery and strangulation.
