Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church - Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church will hold a Blue Christmas Service at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, 472 Massachusetts Ave., Acton. The Mt. Calvary Blue Christmas is a time when we can, with others, acknowledge the “blue” feelings we have at Christmas, the reasons for them, and offer them to God. The first Christmas was a time of sorrow and loneliness as well. God brought out of that time of poverty and suffering new life and hope in Christ. We invite you to reflect on the feelings you have this evening and lay them before the Christ Child. We pray that you will find hope and comfort in knowing that you are not alone.
This candlelight service includes Christmas carols, lighting candles of remembrance, prayers, Scripture readings, a message of hope, and times of reflection.
