Number of Car Accidents in Acton in 2011

According to the Acton Police Department, Route 2 has seen 35 accidents in 2011 and 412 town wide (information was requested on September 29, 2011).

Acton Patch stories of the various car accidents in Acton (2011):

• A 17 year-old female from Groton, crashed into a 61 year-old male from West Townsend. Male was pronounced dead.

• A car crashed into the woods on Route 2 near Route 111 - Woman hospitalized.

• No one was seriously hurt in a three-car crash today on Great Road.

• Mid-morning Route 2 car accident is currently under investigation by Massachusetts State Police. Driver of a Pick-Up Truck runs red light and crashes into another car.

• The car accident is currently under investigation but charges have been made to the vehicle operator.

• The Acton Police department released the names of the vehicle operators in Friday night's accident.

• A serious car accident happened on Route 2 around 10:45 a.m. sending four people to the hospital and causing the Route 2 rotary to temporarily shut down.

• A South Boston female was injured when she crashed her vehicle into a guardrail this morning on route 2 in Acton. She was under the influence of drugs and alcohol.

• Minor injuries were reported when an accident occurred on the Concord Route 2 rotary between a Motorcycle and an SUV.
