Open Door Theater Invites Actors of all Ages to 'Peter Pan' Auditions

Open Door Theater announces auditions for the April 2016 production of Peter Pan: November 30, December 1st and 3rd at the Parker Damon Building, Acton, MA

Peter Pan, the musical takes audiences along for an exciting flight to Neverland, where “dreams are born and time is never planned.” With the help of some pixie dust and his fairy sidekick Tinker Bell, Peter takes Wendy, Michael and John Darling to a land populated by unruly orphan boys, feisty natives, and some really mean pirates, led by the most notorious of them all - Captain Hook!

For over 30 years, Open Door Theater has been providing an accessible community theater experience to families and individuals. Our productions feature a mix of adults and children of differing abilities, resulting in a unique creative process: each individual is enriched by the strengths of the group in the shared mission of providing a high-quality theatrical production for our audiences. Our 2015 production of Shrek: The Musical received 4 DASH nominations from the Eastern Massachusetts Association of Community Theaters (EMACT), for Hair and Makeup Design, Stage Management, Costume Design, and the “Dragon” ensemble.

In that spirit, Open Door invites actors, dancers and singers ages 9 to adult to audition for the opportunity to tell this exciting story. We welcome families to come audition together. And we invite those with special needs to come share the thrill of the stage. Deaf actors are invited to audition; an ASL interpreter will be provided.

Auditions will take place on November 30th, December 1st, and December 3rd, at the Parker Damon Building, 11 Charter Road, Acton, MA.
