Acton Pedestrian Crash: 8th Grader Seriously Injured
A middle school student was airlifted with serious injuries after being struck by a van Friday.
ACTON, MA – An eighth-grade student was airlifted to the hospital with serious injuries Friday morning after she was struck by a special education van in Acton.
The crash happened around 7:20 a.m. at the intersection of Main Street and Hayward Road. The student was crossing Main Street in the crosswalk when she was struck by a van traveling south, Acton Police Chief Richard Burrows said.
The van was a Westford Public Schools vehicle.

She was transported to Boston Children's Hospital. She is in serious but stable condition, according to CBS Boston.
