Planning Board Sympathizes with Acorn Park Residents Concerning Quail Ridge Developments

Tuesday night, the Planning Board voted for Pulte Homes to build 153 senior-condo units at Quail Ridge, with some minor changes now in place.

Residents of Acorn Park can sleep easier knowing a minor compromise to the Quail Ridge development passed through the Planning Board. Several Acorn Park residents, abutters to the coming Quail Ridge developments of 153 senior-condo units, , a connecting road to Quail Ridge, would be open for public vehicle access.

As of Tuesday night, the Planning Board passed a deal with Pulte Homes of New England, LCC, to build 153 senior-condo units in place of the north-end 9-holes from the current 18-hole golf course at Quail Ridge, with some minor compromises to the original plan. The new plan states that the connecting street of Hazelnut Drive to the Quail Ridge developments will now only be used for emergency access vehicles, pedestrians and bicycle use – as apposed to having public access vehicles passing through.
