Police Logs From Feb. 7 to Feb. 13

Someone got their tongue stuck to a pole - Someone calls 911 for help with their laundry - A brother dispute and more…

Walking and talking almost a crime:

2/7 – 9:56pm – Town House Lane: A concerned caller reported to the police that a suspicious male wearing blue jeans and a dark hooded sweatshirt was walking around the cars in a parking lot. When police arrived to check the scene, party said he was visiting his father and was just talking on his cell phone while walking around.

2/8 – 6:22pm – Preston Way: Police responded to a flashing strobe light coming from the rear entrance to a building on Preston Way. Police found the lights to be malfunctioning.

2/9 – 3:50pm – Farmstead Way: Police responded to a dead dog in the road.

Too young for a cell phone?:

2/10 – 7:27pm – Prospect Street: A mother called to report that her 10-year-old daughter has been receiving obscene pictures on her phone from someone she doesn’t know. This has been going on for the past three days. Police have the phone number of the person sending the pictures.

Runaway dog:

2/10 – 9:35pm – Mass Ave.: An elderly lady called in to request help to catch their yellow lab that was on a leash but ran away. Dog was found tangled to a tree and was brought back to the owner.

911 hang up:

2/11 – 6:46am – Davis Road: A female party called 911 and reported she needed help with her laundry but then hung up.

I triple-dog-dare you!:

2/11 – 8:42am – Strawberry Hill Road: Police responded to a male party whose tongue was stuck to a pole.

Deer in headlights:

2/12 – 6:24pm – Great Road: Police responded to an incident where a female party struck a deer driving on the road. Both the car and the deer were blocking the  traffic on the road for some time.

Who let the dogs out?

2/12 – 6:39pm – Elm Street: Police responded to a complaint that several dogs were loose, running through the hallways in the apartment complex. 

Waiting for the train:

2/13 – 8:15pm – Dunham Lane: Police responded to a domestic dispute between brothers. One brother threatened the other with a knife and then left the residence and took a walk on the train tracks to “possibly commit suicide.” Police found the male party at the Acton commuter lot and transferred him to Emerson Hospital.
