Powder Mill Road to be Restricted to Local Traffic Only

This notice is to inform motorists that a section of Sudbury Road in Acton will be closed for construction on Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at 7 a.m. until approximately 5 p.m. for a one-day operation. A detour route using routes 117 and 62 has been established (see attached photo).

Additionally, beginning on June 20 at 9 a.m. the same section of Sudbury Road will be closed 24 hours a day for approximately two months.

The road closure and detour route has been coordinated with the police departments from Acton, Concord, Sudbury, and Maynard. The closure is required to maintain a safe environment for the traveling public and the construction workers.

Any updates to the detour route or to the dates of the road closure will be posted on the Town of Sudbury website.
