Quaker "Friendly Fair" on Sat. June 4
You are invited to a Friendly Fair at the historic Framingham Friends (Quaker) Meetinghouse on June 4th from 1-4 p.m.

All are invited to a "Friendly Fair" at the historic Framingham Friends (Quaker) Meetinghouse on June 4th from 1-4 p.m. When Framingham Friends Meeting was contemplating how best to celebrate its 50th birthday, they decided that the answer was to throw a party and invite the surrounding communities! All are invited to join the local Quaker group for a fun and family-friendly afternoon.
A variety of activities are planned (all free), including live music, a performance by the Tanglewood Marionettes, and a chance to hear about the production of a Quaker music video that went “viral.” There will be games and activities for children, and a chance to tour the historic Meetinghouse. There will also be informational display tables from community organizations and local and national Quaker groups. And, of course, there will be birthday cake!
It’s well worth a visit to see this historic gem of a building in Framingham, the former #7 schoolhouse, originally built in 1839. Located at 841 Edmands Road, just up the street from Stearns Farm, it was moved up the hill to its current location in 1964 and has been used as the Friends Meetinghouse since then.
