BURLINGTON, MA — A rare white deer was photographed recently in Middlesex County.
Burlington police tweeted a photo taken by dispatcher Gail Fay about three weeks ago near Simons Park in Burlington.

According to federal statistics, about one in 20,000 deer are white. They usually don’t survive long in the wild since their white coat makes them an easy target for predators.
