The Rev. Dr. Cynthia Landrum is Called as Minister of FPC
Members of First Parish Church of Stow and Acton (FPC) voted to call the Rev. Dr. Cynthia Landrum as their new settled minister

Members of First Parish Church of Stow and Acton (FPC), Unitarian Universalist, voted to call the Rev. Dr. Cynthia Landrum as their new minister on Sunday, May 20. The vote was taken after a week of teas, lunches, games, and preaching that allowed the congregation to get to know her in settings both fun and formal.
Rev. Landrum will be leaving her post as minister of Universalist Unitarian Church of East Liberty in Clarklake, MI, and relocating to New England with her husband and daughter.
As Search Committee member Sharon Brownfield introduced Rev. Landrum, who preached on May 13, she admitted that FPC's members had "rather high aspirations" for a new minister. "We believe we have found just the person," she said. "(Rev. Landrum) is a thinker and an actor, an advocate for social justice, a communicator, and we feel the Rev. Dr. Cynthia Landrum is ideally suited to partner with us here at First Parish."

Rev. Landrum seemed equally impressed with FPC, telling the congregation that she felt like "the luckiest minister in the UUA . . . I have very high standards and you met every bar that I could set and then went way beyond as well."
Rev. Landrum will replace Rev. Tom Rosiello, who retired in June 2017 after 15 years of service. She will also replace Rev. Tracey Robinson-Harris, who, as interim minister, ably led the congregation through a difficult transition with compassion, good humor, and many bags of chocolate kisses.
