Rev. Fr. Christopher T. Metropulos To Be Installed As The 21st President of Hellenic College Holy Cross
Installation Ceremony on Thursday, October 29th

BROOKLINE, MA - His eminence, Archbishop Demetrios, Primate of the Greek Orthodox Church in America and Chairman of the Board of Trustees, will install the Rev. Fr. Christopher T. Metropulos as the 21st President of Hellenic College Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology (HCHC) on Thursday, October 29th at 2:00 pm in the Pappas Gymnasium. The event will be live streamed at hchc.edu.
“It is a distinct honor for me to assume the position of President of this sacred school.,” said Fr. Metropulos. “I am in awe of the commitment of the administration, faculty, staff and students to Christ, and embrace the true potential of HCHC, nurturing the next generation of leaders in Boston and Brookline and communities throughout the United States and world.”
Prior to his appointment as President, Fr. Metropulos was the presiding pastor at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, where he served for 25 years. Fr. Metropulos has also represented the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America at the United Nations and United States Missions.

A nationally known media personality, Fr. Metropulos is the founder, host and executive director of the Orthodox Christian Network (myocn.net). He holds a B.A. from Hellenic College, an M.Div. from Holy Cross and a D.Min. from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary.
“It is my goal to expand the physical and virtual infrastructure of our school, increasing student enrollment both within our gates and throughout the world through continued education online learning,” said Fr. Metropulos. “All are welcome. And, to those graduated, welcome home.”

HCHC is the only accredited Orthodox Christian College in North America. Since its inception in 1937, it has been committed to being the intellectual, educational and spiritual center of the Orthodox Church in North America, developing and increasing ordained and lay vocations to the Church and community.
“Service to the church and community is the core of our mission,” said Fr. Christopher. “For this reason, all undergraduate and graduate students at HCHC are required to take coursework in community engagement, studying and volunteering. Examples include the MSPCA, Bikes not Bombs, Italian Home for Children, VA Hospital of Jamaica Plain and Philoxenia House, among numerous others.”
