School Transport Routes May Shift: Acton Superintendent
In an email, Superintendent Peter Light told families that school transport routes may shift due to unvaccinated drivers.

ACTON, MA — School bus routes in Acton and Boxborough may be impacted because some bus drivers may not be vaccinated, or have submitted the necessary proof of vaccination, by the district’s staff vaccination deadline of Nov. 15, the Acton-Boxborough Beacon reports.
In an email last week, Superintendent Peter Light told families that while the district has enough seats, some changes may occur, like changes to bus routes and drivers, more riders on each bus, elimination of some stops, and a possible shift in start times to accommodate longer rides. Additionally, some parents willing to drive their children to school may fill out an opt-out form online.
Light told families he hopes to know more specifics by Nov. 12, and hopes that the changes will be temporary.
