According to Boxborough Police Chief, Warren Ryder, the police obtained a search warrant to go inside the vehicle and conduct a proper investigation. There are no results from the investigation available as of yet. A search warrant was also obtained for the drivers blood and medical records. The police will request an order from the court to read the records and then send the blood off to a lab to be analyzed. Ryder said the results will be back within a couple of weeks.
"Whenever we are given the opportunity to step back and to proceed cautiously, we always prefer to have a search warrant because it just solidifies our probable cause," said Ryder.
