Settled: The Cub Scout/Acton Family Network Embezzlement Case

A brief sum of the case of Acton's Kimberly and Kevin Clark.

Cub Scout/Acton Family Network Embezzlement Case:
  • On Feb. 16, 2012, it was reported on Acton Patch that in September 2011, Acton Police began an investigation after receiving complaints of financial fraud. The investigation revealed that money was stolen from Acton Cub Scout Pack 70, from November 2005 through April 2009, while money was taken from Pack 1 between April 2009 and July 2011.
  • Kimberly Clark, of 3 Paul Revere Road, the former treasurer of Acton Cub Scout Packs 1 and 70, was charged with larceny over $250 by single scheme and association officer embezzlement over $250. Her husband, Kevin Clark, also of Paul Revere Road, was charged with larceny over $250 by single scheme.

Addistional Embezzlement Charges:

  • On June 5, 2012, it was reported on Acton patch that Kimberly Clark would be receiving of embezzlement from her actions involving the the Acton Family Network. Kimberly Clark was charged with association officer embezzlement over $250 and larceny over $250 by single scheme.

  • Tuesday, June 26, Concord District Court Judge Kunis ruled Kimberly and Kevin Clark to be on a two-year probation (until June 25, 2014). If the probation requirements are fulfilled, the charges will be dropped in two years.
  • Kimberly and Kevin Clark are to pay a monthly $50.00 probation supervision fee, a $90.00 victim witness assessment fee, and also pay restitution.
