Staff from Minuteman High School in Lexington to Make Presentation at Hyannis Conference on Nov. 6 titled "Vocational Education: Best Practices"

Help celebrate the valuable educational partnership between Minuteman and your school district's middle schools

Staff from the Minuteman Regional Vocational Technology Outreach Program, operating in your school district’s middle schools, will be presenting at the annual Massachusetts Association of School Committees and Massachusetts Association of School Superintendents Joint Conference in Hyannis, Massachusetts. The presentation will take place as part of a roundtable discussion on November 6th, 2014 at 8:45 am titled: “Vocational Education: Best Practices.”

The creative partnership between the regional vocational school and a traditional regional school has evolved around Project Lead the Way (PLTW) which has created opportunities for your middle school students to experience science, technology, engineering, and mathematics curriculum in advance of their entry into high school. This program represents a unique partnership between Minuteman High School and the middle schools these students attend which allows Minuteman instructors to teach middle school students and give them experience in fields that are currently in high demand in the modern workforce. These experiences prove valuable to students as they enter high school with a better understanding of the opportunities available to them in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

Please consider joining me in attendance at this presentation where we can celebrate the achievements of these students and a successful partnership between our school districts.
