BOXBOROUGH, MA—The Massachusetts State Trooper facing domestic assault charges after allegedly choking his girlfriend in his Boxborough apartment Saturday has been suspended indefinitely without pay.
According to a release from State Police Spokesperson Dave Procopio, the trooper has been suspended without pay indefinitely at a duty status hearing held at State Police headquarters Monday.
According to an earlier release from Procopio, evidence gathered during a preliminary investigation indicated that the trooper choked her with his hands on her throat, and at one point put her in a choke hold before she was able to break free.
