The Sustainable-Enough Garden Feb. 6 at 9:15 in Town Hall.

Join the Acton Garden Club for this entertaining and informative speech to learn how to make and maintain your own compost.

The Sustainable-Enough Garden
guest speaker; Rebecca Warner

Gardeners care about the environment. How can we put our environmental ideals into practice in the garden? That's been Rebecca's focus for the last five years.

She's a home gardener like many of us. She'll tell the Acton Garden Club about her journey toward sustainable gardening. She's done research, she's talked with experts, and she's tried out new approaches in her yard. Some worked well and some completely bombed. Eventually she came up with new ways of doing things that are less work and better for the environment.

She will share her mistakes and successes and her decision-making process. Her experiences will offer our club members a range of options for gardening sustainably. Her new approaches, from composting the easy way to making your own potting mix without using peat will be revealed.

Please feel free to join us at out meeting on Feb. 6 at 9:15 in Town Hall.
