Two OUI Arrests In Acton New Year's Week
One of the arrests was a car crash on New Year's Eve.
ACTON, MA — The holiday season, particularly around New Year's Eve, tends to be a busy time for police cracking down on drunken drivers. This year, Acton police arrested two people during New Year's week and charged them with operating under the influence. One of the arrests happened on New Year's Eve.
The first incident was called in on Dec. 2 at 12:22 p.m. Acton police received a call about an erratic driver on Nagogg Park Drive. The caller told police the driver was swerving all over the road and into oncoming traffic.
The driver, David Castagnet of Littleton, was arrested and charged with OUI liquor, negligent driving and possession of a class B substance.

The second incident was a car crash police were called to. A driver rear-ended a car on School Street and tried to drive away. State Police in Concord stopped the driver, Justin King of Concord, on School street before he could get away any further.
King was charged with OUI liquor, which is his third offense. He is also facing several hit and run and traffic charges.
