UPDATE: 94 Year-Old Bedford Woman Struck by Husband's Vehicle in Acton Shopping Plaza
An elderly woman was struck by her husband's vehicle this afternoon while he was parking his car. The woman suffered serious injuries to her legs.
According to Lieutenant Ray Grey of the Acton Police Department, Elinor Cann, 94, Bedford, MA, was struck by her 95 year-old husband, Robert Cann, Bedford, MA, who was parking his car in front of at the Acton shopping plaza at 145 Great Road at approximately 1:30 p.m. Elinor was out of the vehicle when Robert backed up and knocked her to the ground and ran over her legs causing serious injuries.
Elinor was taken by ambulance to the where she was then flown to Beth Israel hospital in Boston, MA.
There were no other injuries reported and the case is currently under investigation.
