UPDATE: Acton Man Arrested on Charges of Drinking and Driving
One under arrest after yesterday's two-car accident on Great Road.
Nelio DaSilva, 50, of 15 Davis Road, Apt. 16 B, Acton was arrested Monday, March 26, after a two-car, head-on collision on Great Road near the shopping plaza where Trader Joe's is located. He was charged with OUI, operating to endanger, unlicensed operation of a vehicle, drinking from an open container while driving, and marked lanes violation.
UPDATE: DaSilva hit another vehicle traveling in the opposite lane, operated by Christopher Curtin, 36, of Strawberry Hill Road, Acton. Curtin was not injured but DaSilva was brought to Emerson Hospital for minor injuries. He was brought to the police station later that evening.
The accident occurred around 5 p.m.
