UPDATE: Four People Hospitalized After Route 2 Crash, Injuries Appear to be Non Life Threatening
Mid-morning Route 2 car accident is currently under investigation by Massachusetts State Police. Driver of a Pick-Up Truck runs red light and crashes into another car.
According to the Massachusetts State Police, at 10:55 a.m. Friday, 30-year-old, Thomas C. Bouvier Jr. of Marlborough, ran a red light in his 2009 Chevrolet Silverado Pick-Up Truck at he intersection of Piper Road on Route 2 in Acton and slammed into the side of a 2008 Toyota Rav-4, operated by 47-year-old, Jian P. Ge of Westford.
Each car had one passenger present and as a result of the accident, four people were transferred to nearby Hospitals for serious injuries, according to the Massachusetts State Police. Bouvier, Ge and 59-year-old Enrique Basaldo, passenger of the Silverado, were transferred to Emerson Hospital. The 47-year-old female passenger in the Toyota, Yufen Ilu, was transported to UMass Medical Center in Worcester (her name is being withheld because her family has not been notified).
According to the Massachusetts State Police, none of the injuries appear to be life threatening at this moment.

The crash remains under investigation under State Trooper Kevin S. Haley.
"Preliminary indications are that charges will be forthcoming for the operator of the Silverado once all interviews have been completed," according to a Massachusetts State Police press release.
