Viewfinder: Celebrating the T.J. O'Grady Memorial Skate Park

Last Friday (May 6), bands, skaters and BMXers celebrated the 5th anniversary of the T.J. O'Grady Memorial Skate Park.

The Acton Recreation Department and Concert Products hosted the celebration of the 5th anniversary of the T.J. O'Grady Skate Park.

Local area heavy-metal bands, Zero Point, Desecration and Hell With It, performed while skaters and bikers road the park and ate hamburgers and hotdogs.

The Skate Park is dedicated to 14-year-old R.J. Grey Junior High School student, T.J. O’Grady, who died November 21, 1998 from skateboarding in Boxborough. He was the co-founder of the R.J. Grey Junior High School Skateboard Club.
