Violent Fugitive With Acton Ties Lands On Most Wanted List

ACTON, MA — A man with ties to Acton has landed on the state's Most Wanted list. Kevin Hamel, 49, is wanted for kidnapping, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, domestic assault and battery, and vandalism after allegedly held a woman against her will and assaulted her in Townsend on March 30.

Hamel has been the subject of right restraining orders involving several victims across Massachusetts. He is the subject of a second arrest warrant for violating his probation from a previous conviction. His extensive criminal history includes unlawful gun possessions, stalking, kidnapping, and restraining order violations.

State Police said Hamel has ties to Acton, Townsend, Fitchburg, Ayer, and New Hampshire.

Hamel is white, 6 feet tall, approximately 225 pounds, and has brown and gray hair and blue eyes.
