Why do you believe the nominee should be recognized or honored?:
Local businesses have been hit hard in the CoVid-19 pandemic. Mel saw the problem early on, she used her web design expertise to build a website to help promote local businesses. The websites were launched on March 15. Mel spent countless time to improve the sites. It is all volunteering work out of kindness https://shop-local-acton.weebl... includes all Acton local businesses with information such as online orders and home deliveries.
https://shop-local-acton.weebl... is specially designed to help local cafe and restaurants and
https://neighbor-help-neighbor... provides helpful information for small businesses in need.

What’s one thing you want everyone to know about your hero?:
Mel cares about the community deeply in her heart. Even before the pandemic, she was a big advocate for local small businesses. She tries to use a local business whenever she can, from family eating out to shopping for groceries, from home services to any home goods. She supports local small businesses through her actions in daily life.
