Wendell Murder Suspect Captured
Lewis Starkey was wanted in connection with the killing of his girlfriend and a shooting at his workplace.

WENDELL, MA – An "armed and dangerous" man wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of his girlfriend in the small town of Wendell was captured Sunday, Chicopee police said. Lewis Starkey III, 53, was arrested without incident at 9:15 a.m. Sunday morning in Orange, according to a Chicopee police press release.
He was driving a red 2013 Lincoln MKX with Vermont plates QLTMKR, the same car sought by police earlier in the week.
Starkey is charged with shooting his girlfriend, 48-year-old Amanda Glover, around midnight on July 5 at the home they shared in Wendell. He then allegedly shot at a co-worker at Specialized Trucking Co. in Chicopee around 1:30 a.m. that same morning, according to the Boston Globe.

He is being held on $1 million bail at Franklin County Jail.
Wendell, in Northwestern Mass., is a town of less than 1,000 people.
