Where Do Acton, A-B Teachers Rank in Salary in Massachusetts?

Go to any school committee or Board of Selectmen meeting in Acton and chances are you will hear how the town is known for its schools.

But what about its teachers? If students are doing so well, are the town's teachers being paid enough compared to the rest of the state?

According to a Boston.com report, teachers at Acton Public Schools fared quite well in Massachusetts in 2011. The average salary for an A-B teacher was $75,741, which ranked 50th.

Acton-Boxborough Regional High School teachers weren't compensated quite as well. A-B teachers averaged $72,411, which placed them 91st.
