Workers Credit Union was honored with a Diamond Award, which recognizes outstanding marketing and business development achievements in the credit union industry.
The Credit Union National Association (CUNA) Marketing & Business Development Council, a network of over 1,300 credit union marketing and business development professionals, presented the award.
Workers Credit Union won a “Complete Category” award for its advertising campaign that encouraged consumers and members to “Bank like a Big Wig.” The promotion featured credit union members in massive, Victorian-era, powdered white wigs in print, television spots, social media, billboards and bus signage advertising.

“This is terrific news. The marketing department put their heart and soul into the ‘Big Wig’ campaign and it really shows,” Doug Petersen, president and CEO of Workers Credit Union, said. “The goal of the campaign is to show that everyone is welcomed and regardless of their financial wherewithal they get treated like a VIP.”

Award winners were recognized at the council’s 25th annual conference held March 11-14 in San Francisco, CA.
