Yoga at Sudbury's Walden Wellness
This week's Great Escape introduces you to a wellness destination right off of Route 117.

These days, even NBA players practice yoga in the offseason. The meditative and physical practice is something suitable for all kinds of lifestyles. At its most basic, yoga helps you increase blood flow to all areas of the body and calms the nervous system with its focus on breath. As many yoga practitioners will tell you, sometimes the effects are far-reaching.
For this week’s Great Escape, take advantage of a spare hour or two and stop by in Sudbury to try yoga for yourself.
This wellness center, in a LEED certified building off of Route 117, offers acupuncture, nutrition and fitness one-on-one sessions, massage and, of course, yoga classes. The schedule of yoga classes is here.

What is noteworthy about this roster of classes is that there is something challenging for someone in top shape and flexibility (vinyasa), and there is something for newcomers or those who need a very slow-paced class (silver yoga) and something in between (slow flow and gentle hatha).
Waldon Wellness has a beautiful sunlit space for yoga and they offer an introductory special of $30 for the first month of unlimited classes. That is quite a bargain!

Finally, after yoga class, try and coordinate a free first-timer's visit to the Far Infrared Sauna. Enjoy!
