• One seriously injured in Acushnet Motorcycle accident (fairhavenneighborhoodnews.com) — A serious motorcycle crash at South Main and Jean streets in Acushnet left a 21-year-old rider unresponsive and shut down the road for several hours while police and state investigators worked the scene. Local firefighters and EMS stabilized him before transporting him first to St. Luke's in New Bedford, then to Rhode Island Hospital's trauma center, while the car's driver was also evaluated at St. Luke's.
   

• ORR football coach back on the sidelines after nearly dying. 'Old man Guilbeault is the best.' (capecodtimes.com) — Longtime high school football coach Paul Guilbeault, who lives in Acushnet, is back on the Old Rochester sidelines less than a year after a life‑saving heart transplant and multiple complications. After months of rehab and finally returning home to Acushnet in January, the 72‑year‑old is drawing strength from his faith, family, and players as he resumes his 47th season of coaching.
