Sperry Campground on Mount Greylock will reopen with three flush toilets that cost $122,000 each (berkshireeagle.com) — Campers in Adams will soon have access to a revamped Sperry Road Campground on Mount Greylock, reopening May 22 with three new solar-powered flush toilets and upgraded road access. The state has invested more than $700,000 in campground and road work, with additional repairs planned for shelters and improvements at the Mount Greylock Visitor Center that will benefit local outdoor enthusiasts.

Berkshire County Real Estate Transactions for April 13-17 (berkshireeagle.com) — Recent Berkshire County deed filings show two notable property sales in Adams, including a $357,500 purchase on Summer Street and a $110,000 sale on East Hoosac Street. The list also details dozens of other transactions across nearby towns, offering a snapshot of current regional real estate activity.

Unbeaten Hoosac Valley Survives Challenge from Lenox (iberkshires.com) — Hoosac Valley’s softball team stayed unbeaten at 12-0 with a high-scoring 18-12 home win in Adams over Lenox, powered by Hannah Lord’s three hits and three RBIs. The Hurricanes piled up 20 hits, while Lenox answered with three homers in a slugfest that showcased plenty of offense on both sides.

From Survival to Speaking Out: Holocaust Survivor Inspires New Generation (iberkshires.com) — A 91-year-old Holocaust survivor recently visited Berkshire Arts & Technology Charter Public School in Adams to share her story and warn students about the dangers of hateful words and silence. Her talk, supported by a state genocide education grant, kicked off Jewish American Heritage Month and deeply engaged local students, who helped organize the event through the school’s BIPOC Union.
