Horrifying Crash Sends Mom, 4-Year-Old, 2 Others To Hospital
The car that was struck was disabled in the breakdown lane, but the lane had been opened to rush hour traffic.

ANDOVER, MA — A Nashua mother and her 4-year-old son were among four injured in a violent crash that shut down I-93 late Friday afternoon.
The boy and his mom were in a disabled Chevrolet HHR in the breakdown lane when it was struck by a Ford Escape shortly after 3 p.m., Andover Police said. The impact sent Chevrolet from the righthand breakdown lane into the left travel lane. The breakdown lane is open to traffic at 3.
The boy and his mother, a 28-year-old woman from Nashua, N.H., were sent to Lawrence General Hospital with serious injuries. The boy, who was in a car seat in the back, has since been flown to a Boston hospital.
