Join us to celebrate our exciting new season of exhibitions inspired by artists’ friendships and collaborations, including Converging Lines: Eva Hesse and Sol LeWitt; In Tandem: Inspirations and Collaborations; and Words in Air: Jennifer Caine and Rachel Hellmann in Collaboration.

Drop-In Family Day
Find out what's happening in Andoverfor free with the latest updates from Patch.
Families are invited to explore the fall exhibitions through hands-on activities related to themes of inspiration and collaboration. Bring a friend or make new ones and create time capsules, write postcards, and more! All ages are welcome; children must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.

Lecture for Converging Lines: Eva Hesse and Sol LeWitt with Kirsten Swenson, Assistant Professor of Art History, Contemporary Art & Aesthetics at the University of Massachusetts Lowell. Swenson will discuss the work of LeWitt and Hesse in the context of the 1960s New York art scene. A book signing for Swenson’s new publication Irrational Judgments: Eva Hesse, Sol LeWitt, and 1960s New York will follow. This program will take place in the Museum Learning Center.
Thursday, December 3, 6:00 pm
Lecture with Sebastian Smee, Pulitzer-Prize winning Boston Globe art critic. Smee will talk about friendships between prominent artists, the subject of his forthcoming book. This program will take place in the Kemper Auditorium.
